This parrot is carved out of a piece of burled Chinaberry Wood. You can modify your carved figure by using different polishes, such as shoe creams or even yes, shoe polish. This wood has a natural ‘explosion‘ which creates the burl effect.

Local artisans take the limb, and carve the various figures, such as the Parrot for this unique personal piece. Each piece is individually made, so no two pieces are ever 100% identical.
